Mr. Samuel Maurice Hill, CEO/Owner
Samuel Maurice Hill, is a native of Statesboro-Bulloch County, Georgia. He received his formal education in the Bulloch County School System. He is a graduate of the Statesboro High School Class of 1997. Maurice furthered his education by attending the Gupton-Jones College-Decatur, Georgia and graduated with an Associates Degree in Funeral Service in August 1999. As a community and business leader he has been the Owner/CEO of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. for the past 20 years. He has acquired over 31 years of experience in funeral service. His passion is to serve all mankind with the highest respect. He is a Licensed Pre-Need Specialist for Atlantic Coast Insurance. His community affiliations includes, being elected in 2005 to the Bulloch County Board of Education (Representing District #8) for the past 19 years, elected chairman of the Board of Education from, 2012 and 2014 and elected as Vice Chairman of the Bulloch County Board of Education in 2010. He presently serves as a Board Member for the Bulloch County Alcohol And Drug Council, Member of Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners, First District, a member the National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia, a member of the Statesboro Kiwanis Club, a member of the Bulloch County branch of the NAACP and serves as a member of the Statesboro Business Commission for the City of Statesboro. Samuel Maurice Hill has received numerous awards a accolades, just to name a few; he is a 2009 Recipient of the Dean Day Smith Award, has been nominated for the 2011 20 under 40 Business Leaders of Statesboro, GA and served on the Governor's Advisory Board for Education from 2011 to 2012 ( for the Honorable Governor Nathan Deal). He has been an advocate for education by serving as a Community Liaison for CSRA EOA, Inc. Head Start Program of Bulloch County.

Mr. William Maurice Hill, Managing Partner and Funeral Service Technician
William Maurice Hill is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice and Lakesha Hill. Born in Statesboro/Bulloch County Georgia. He is a graduate of the Statesboro High School and Ogeechee Technical College where he majored in the funeral service program.
William has a love for music and currently serves a drummer for the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Register Georgia. -
Mr. Carlton G. Maye Jr., Funeral Director
Carlton Maye, Jr., MBA, CFSP, CCO
Carlton Maye is a pragmatic leader in the funeral service industry with an extensive background in banking and contracting. He is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Certified Crematory Operator and is a Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director in the states of Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama. Carlton is the Funeral Director in Full Continuous Charge at Hill’s Mortuary of Statesboro, Georgia. He is currently employed with the United States Department of Defense as a Civilian Contract Specialist and is an Instructional Support Coordinator at Central Georgia Technical College for the Warner Robins Georgia Campus. Carlton has proven experience in sales, management, human resources and marketing. His educational background includes an Associate’s degree in Mortuary Science; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration. He understands the value and power of education in one's profession. Carlton embraces being a lifelong learner as well as sharing his knowledge to teach and enhance the well-being of others. As such, he is a Distance Learning Adjunct Faculty Member at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and serves on the Advisory Board Committee. Carlton maintains an active involvement in various professional associations to include the International Cemetery Cremation and Funeral Association, Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia, Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association, National Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He unselfishly volunteers his time to contribute to achieving each of these associations' missions and goals. Carlton holds the positions of 6th District Chairman and the Education and Research Director for the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association. He was elected as 2024-2026 at large representative to serve on the NFDA Board of Directors. Carlton is a current participant in the Leadership Robins Class of 2024 with the Robins Regional Chamber. He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through the Pi Iota Lamda chapter of Tifton, Georgia. Service is one of Carlton’s main purposes in life and he leads by the guiding principle, if he can help somebody as he travels along his living shall not be in vain.
