Statesboro, GA., Thomas Brinson Sr., age 66, passed into to rest, Monday April 11, 2011, at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was a Bulloch County native, educated in the public school system of Bulloch County and was a graduate of the William James High School class of 1965. Mr. Brinson was employed at the Forrest Heights Country Club, a former employee of Georgia Southern University, The Point and Habitat for Humanity. He leaves to cherish his memory, four children, Thomas N. Brinson, Jr., Tammy Brinson, ShaRodney Grant all of Statesboro, GA., and Craig Brinson, Valdosta, GA., five brothers, Larry Charles (Patricia) Brinson, Pulaski, GA., Willie R. (Phyllis) Tremble, Baltimore, MD., the Rev. Grayson B. (Georgia) Wallace, Nashville, TN., Herman Brinson, Philadelphia, PA., Gregory Wallace, of Florida; six sisters, Clavelia L. Brinson and Wilma (Lee) Hill both of Statesboro, GA., Clara (Quinton) Holloway, Register, GA., Wanda J. Jackson, Henrietta “Peaches” Abrams, Betty Jean Lovett, all of Statesboro, GA., 3 uncles, Elder Bennie (Ruth) Smith, James (Phyllis) Spivey and Timothy Drummer all of Statesboro, GA., a special god daughter, Betty Drummer, Statesboro, GA., 3 special friends, Shirley Ann Brinson, Daisy Smith, and Clint Smith all of Statesboro, GA., 8 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. The funeral services for Mr. Brinson will be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 16, 2011 at the Hodges Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Grayson Wallace III, eulogist, the Rev. Dr. John Harmon, pastor. Burial will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens. Mr. Brinson will be place in the church on the day of service from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
