Mrs. Reatter Young Edwards, age 52, passed into rest, Friday May 10, 2013 at the UNC Medical Center, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Screven County native resided in North Carolina for several years and retired from the Vidant Duplin General Hospital as Supervisor of Housekeeping. She leaves fond memories to be cherished by, her children, Ashelyn (Mose) Mobley, Portal, GA., Ebony Edwards, Warsaw, NC., and Melvin Glenn Edwards, Jr., Teachey, NC., her mother, Mary Young, Statesboro, GA., four sisters, Mary Jaudon, Sylvania, GA., Jessie Lee Sapp Statesboro, GA., Beulah Edwards and Jeanette Daniels both of Sylvania, GA., three brothers, James Roberts, Orlando, FLA., Luther Roberts, Sylvania, GA. and John Henry Raymond, Mt. Dora, FLA., a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mrs. Edwards will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Whitesville Full Gospel Worship Center, Shelby Street Statesboro, GA. with the Rev. Hardrick Griffin officiating, Bishop Larry and Pastor Gwedolyn Jones, pastors. Burial Friendship Memorial Park Cemetery, Sylvania, GA., No Wake Services Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
