Statesboro, Ga. Mr. Henry W. “Joe Louis” Gaines, age 74, passed into rest, Monday December 20, 2010 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center. The Bryan County native was a retired truck driver and a member of the New Life Deliverance Center of Ellabell, Georgia. He is survived by, his children, Anthony Gaines and Wanda Gaines, both of Savannah, Ga., Henry Green, Sylvania, Ga., Sandra Shepherd and Sonya Lang both of Savannah, Ga., Vann Gaines, Atlanta, Ga., and Carlton Gaines, Statesboro, Ga., 2 sisters, Hattie Lee Dukes, Ellabell, Ga., and June Johnson, Hartford, CT., a sister-in-law, Lillian Gaines, Savannah, Ga., a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mr. Gaines will be held 1 p.m. Monday December 27, 2010 at the Boyd’s Temple New Order Greater Faith Ministries, Ellabell, Ga., with burial to follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellabell, Ga. Final rites entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
