Mrs. Elaine Drummer Royal, age 81, passed into rest, Wednesday morning, November 10, 2010 at the Brown’s Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Odyssey Hospice. She was a Bulloch County native and retired from the dietary department of Bulloch Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Rehovia Baptist Church where she served on the hospitality committee mother of the church and as a choir member. Mrs. Royal leaves fond memories to be cherished by, a son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Otis (Fracina) Drummer, Lakeland, FL., three daughters, Patricia Huff, Judy Bacon and Diane Boyd all of Statesboro, GA., a faithful daughter-in-law, Katie Mae Drummer, Statesboro, GA., 2 brothers, William (Erma) Brown and Robert (Betty) Best, an aunt, Sarah Lee, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Royal will lie in state at the church on the day of service one hour prior to the funeral. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The funeral services for Mrs. Royal will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Statesboro Church of God (23923 Hwy 80 East) the Rev. Otis Drummer, officiating. Burial will be in the Rehovia Baptist Church Cemetery. Final rites entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
