Mrs. Minnie L. Harris

Arlington, GA "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1 Mrs. Minnie Lewis Harris, entered into rest, Friday, June 12, 2020 at her residence with her loving family by her bedside. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Lula Bell Latimore Lewis. She received her formal education in the public school system of Calhoun County and was a graduate of H.T. Singleton High School. At an early age she confessed her faith in Christ and joined the Mt. Ebel Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a choir member. Mrs. Minnie Harris was retired from Carter's Manufacturing Company of Edison, GA. Minnie, loved sewing and continued her work through out her home and community. She was known as the "Neighborhood Seamstress". In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings; Betty Jean Lewis, Garfield Lewis and Willie James "Boot" Lewis. She leaves to celebrate her life, two sons, Jerry Strafford of Pensacola, FL and Dewayne (Lorianne) Strafford, Blakely, GA, one daughter, Rhonda (Antwaun) Flowers, Atlanta, GA, thirteen grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three brothers, Lester (Mae Joyce) Lewis, West Palm Beach FL, Joe (Sharon) Lewis, Okeechobee FL and Noah (Brenda) Lewis, Pensacola FL, eight sisters, Alice Lewis, Pensacola FL, Curly Lowman, Atlanta, GA, Laurie (Ulysses) Wynn, Arlington, GA, Pricilla Lewis (Bobby), Arlington, GA, Christine (Percy) Butler, Pensacola FL, Dorothy (Robert) Thomas, San Antonio, Texas, Roseanne Lewis, Newark, New Jersey and Cheryl Faye (Rev. Donnie) Williams, Arlington, GA, a host of nieces, nephews; close friends, Myrtle Shorter, Deborah Ferguson, Sallie Greggs-Tyson, Gloria Dean Thomas, Eunice Flowers, a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service and burial will be held 1 p.m. June 20, 2020 at the Mt. Ebel Missionary Baptist Church, 7 Martin Luther King Jr Drive Arlington, Georgia 39813, Rev. Quincy Keys, pastor. Services may be viewed via live stream on our Facebook page at Hill's Mortuary, Inc. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be enforced at the graveside services. We ask that you adhere to all CDC guidelines. Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
