Mr. Cordell Winfield

Cordell Preston Winfield was born on August 18, 1983, to Joanne Winfield and Marve Palmer. Cordell was born in Chester, PA and grew up in Bucks County Pennsylvania. He was educated in the Bucks County School System and played varsity football for Harry S. Truman High School. He later resided in Casa Grande, Arizona where he made his home. He worked with a carnival as a truck driver. While working there he obtained his CDL to drive tractor trailers for Value Trucking, Inc. He loved working with Value Trucking, Inc. and they loved working with him. Cordell was a tough and good-hearted person. He will be missed. He lived his life to the fullest doing what he loved. He worked hard and for the first time in a long time he was extremely happy. He wasn't alone and we should remember him for those things. I love you, Cordell. I'm glad I didn't have to wait to tell you that because I told you every time we spoke. You helped me when I was down and gave me motivation to pull things together no matter how slow the process, but he reminded me of the value of time. He wasn't a deep person, but he knew time is not as long as we like to think but to do what you wanted to do while you could. I'm glad he was the example I needed to get things in perspective and keep going don't stay stuck. He reminded me of my purpose. And wanted something that I have and that was his own family for people to love him. Which made me focus and realize what I have was priceless. I will never forget it. I didn't realize he was wanting that until he wanted advice which Cordell doesn't do. It made me realize that everyone's life has meaning whether it be something small or something big. Value those things money can't buy and move forward no matter what happens. That is something I had lost a while back and it opened my eyes again and that's what was needed. Thank you, that was something super special to me…your brother Renell. On December 31, 2021, Cordell was called home to be with the Lord. Cordell was preceded by his father Marve Palmer, grandfathers, Josiah Smalls and Bennie H. Gordon, Jr., grandmother, Dorothy Palmer, great grandparents Bennie and Elouise Gordon and brother, Jeremy Winfield. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Desarae Derry; mother Joanne Winfield Sanders (William); brothers, Renell (Kiaya) Palmer, Maurice, Marquis, Marcus, Marve Palmer, and Donta Hall; and sisters, Shakeya, Sharee Palmer; host of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Also, his fiance, Brehann Rhodes, a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service for Mr. Winfield will be held at, 6 p.m. Saturday evening, January 15, 2022, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary with the Rev. Timotheus Mincey, officiating. Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
