Mr. Bobby L. Allen

Statesboro, Georgia Bobby Lee Allen was born on December 5, 1955, in Statesboro, Georgia, to the late Reverend Gus and Louise Key Allen. He attended school in Bulloch County’s public system. Bobby worked at ITT Grinnell for nineteen years before retiring from Georgia Southern University, where he served in the housing department. He loved building things, grilling, tailgating at Georgia Southern University home games, making people laugh, and simply enjoying life. On February 24, 2026, Bobby L. Allen passed away at Memorial Medical University Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as sisters Carolyn Mincey, Linda Faye Allen, Cynetta Williams, Juliette Townsend, and brothers Augusta Allen and Booker T. Allen. Cherishing his memory are his beloved wife, Debra S. Tremble Allen; son, Rodney L. (Samantha) Allen; two grandchildren, Cameron Allen and Mavrick Allen; sisters Willie Pearl Alston and Thelma S. Ellison; brothers Gus (Kathy) Allen III, Larry (Janice) Allen, Frankie L. (Velma) Howard, Gary V. (Sheron) Savage, Gregory T. Savage, Gerald B. (Lamika) Savage, Earl Allen; Elease (Willie) Hodge, Catherine Bargeron, Shirley Howard, Gloria Allen Walker, Denese Allen Early, Marisha Savage, Lolita Smith, and Felita (Steven) Johnson. Also surviving are brothers-in-law Grady Williams and Charles Townsend, sister-in-law Cheryl Cummings, as well as his extended family: Lillie Mae Raymond, who raised him, Pearlie Smith, Lorraine Raymond Smithere Raymond, Danny Raymond, Pastor Glenese Raymond, sisters-in-law, Linda Williams, Melanie Tremble Shipman, Olethia Tremble, Mary Howard-Days, and Katie Raymond; brothers-in-law, Eddis Tremble, Terry Tremble, Tony Tremble and Korry Tremble; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A family visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 P.M. to & P.M. in the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. Mr. Allen will lie in repose at the church from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The funeral service for Mr. Bobby L. Allen, will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church with the pastor Gloria Reviere, presiding and Pastor Lisa Deloach, officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
