Mrs. Annie Bell Mincey-Lee

Statesboro, GA. Mrs. Annie Bell Mincey-Lee was born on June 25, 1949, in Dover, Screven County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Lue Bertha McCall. Mrs. Mincey-Lee, aged 76, passed away peacefully at her residence in Statesboro, Georgia, on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Mrs. Mincey-Lee was previously employed at Willingway Hospital before partnering with her best friend to establish a cleaning business. She later joined Pineland BHDD, CSB, where she served as a Food Service Worker and Vehicle Operator until her retirement at age sixty-five. Known for her dedication, Mrs. Mincey-Lee consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to her work and those she served, rarely missing a day and always arriving early. She was also renowned for her homemade cakes. A woman of faith, Ms. Mincey-Lee accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was steadfast in her beliefs. She was predeceased by her mother, whom she lost at the age of 16, her aunt Florence Heard—who raised her thereafter until marriage—and her friend and former husband, Leroy Mincey, Sr. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Michelle Williams, Lamar Mincey (Sandra), Tony Mincey, Sharry (David) Ryall, all of Statesboro, GA, and Andre (Sharon) Mincey of Columbia, SC. In addition, she is survived by her bonus sons, Leroy Mincey, Jr. and Jacquez Cooper (Calvina), both of Statesboro, GA; her devoted sister, Mary Tenner of Statesboro, GA, and sister-cousins Betty Clark of Statesboro, GA, and Earlene Chambers of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with whom she was raised; her grandchildren, Brad, Brianna, Desmond, Brittany, Tiffany, Preston, Tamia, James, Toni, Camryn, Joshua, and Jordan; great-grandchildren Ava, Leo, Christopher, Carter, Collins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. There will be no scheduled visitation Mrs. Annie Bell Mincey-Lee will lie in state at the church on the day of service from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The funeral service for Mrs. Mincey-Lee will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Elm Street Church of God with the Rev. Joyce Smith, presiding and the pastor, Dr, Alexander Smith, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery. Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
